Vera Calado (Lisbon, Portugal, 1992)

 

Licensed in 2013 in Photography and Visual Culture at IADE, was a collaborator as photo-reporter in the online magazine Hardmusica, participating in several events as an official photographer. Over 2014 gained experience as a photo and video editor in STAY Casting Producer.

 

Currently she works in the prestigious Clinic Millennium, as responsible for the image department (photography / Video).

 

Since the end of the course that she has been dedicated to more personal projects in the audiovisual core, always working hand in hand with analog photography, video and sound. Intimate and everyday life environments are overall what she explores and translates as an artist.

 

Since then she participated:

 

• "António Arroio" (collective exposition, Museu do Trabalho - Setubal, 2009);

 

• "X'13" (collective exposition, Palácio Quintela - Lisbon, 2013);

 

• "Freedom 40, 40 artists" (collective exposition, Palácio do Infantado - Samora Correia, 2014);

 

• "The Horrifying Acknowledgement That No One Really Sees What You Say The Way You Meant It And That We All Keep on Pretending We Perfectly Understand Each Other Until The Day We Die ", (collective exposition, Pickpocket Gallery, 2014).
